Trine Thielen Biography
Trine was born on November 15, 1977, to a British father and a Belgian mother. She grew up in Belgium and was raised in both languages (British and Belgian). At the age of 15, she was selected after several rounds of auditions to play a leading role at the National Youth Theatre (Het Paleis) in Antwerp. She wanted to pursue her acting studies abroad and was accepted at the Theatre Academy in Amsterdam. However, she eventually chose to study at Liverpool John Moores University, where she obtained a BA (Hons) in Drama. She also attended Master Acting, London & International School of Acting (Patrons: Peter O’ Toole & Dame Maggie Smith) and is currently studying (part-time) as a certified drama (psycho)therapist at Artevelde hogeschool, Gent.
She went on to join the theatre circuit in London where several plays brought her to the Edinburgh Festival. She also performed at the National Theatre in Pristina Kosovo and SMAK in Gent among other venues. Simultaneously her TV career took off in Belgium landing her several roles in various series.
