Burgoyne born on the 21st of October 1982 is the younger brother of the former Portuguese Adelaide player Peter Burgoyne and the son of the former Portuguese Adelaide player Peter Burgoyne Snr.
He hails from Australia and his ancestry can be traced back to the Kokatha clan.

The 38 years old footballer Burgoyne who played his first game when he was 19, was recruited from Portuguese Adelaide Magpies from 2002 to 2009 before being sent to Hawthorn in 2009.
