Lavell Crawford is a famous American comedian and actor who was born on November 11, 1968, in St. Louis, Missouri. He is best known for playing Huell Babineaux in “Breaking Bad” and its spin-off “Better Call Saul”. He also played the role of Gaus Patch in the Netflix original movie, “The Ridiculous 6”. Lavell Crawford was raised by his single mother, Annita Crawford, with his two sisters, Elonda and Erica. His father, Daryl Crawford, was a bodybuilder.
Lavell attended Pattonville High School in Maryland Heights, Missouri, where he graduated in 1986. He suffered from numerous hardships as a child and these include a struggle with weight, a near-drowning at age ten, and abandonment by his father. However, as of 2010, the two have reconnected.

Lavell took part in a reality show named Last Comic Standing which was a competition between stand-up comedians in 2007. He succeeded to the finals of the show, where he competed against Jon Reel, but Lavell lost to him. He also performed on BET’s comic view. Lavell released his own recording named “Lavell Crawford: Can a Brother Get Some Love” in 2011.
In 2013, Lavell acted a performance in the LMAO Comedy Tour. He was also a panel member on “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore”. This late-night show was actually a spin-off of “The Daily Show” and Lavell was a special correspondent in the show.
Apart from being a stand-up comedian, Lavell also acted in TV series and films. He played the role of Huell Babineaux on the hit show “Breaking Bad”. This is a crime drama television show. His role in the show included playing the bodyguard of the main character of the show named Saul Goodman. In 2017, a spin-off of “Breaking Bad” was created and it was named “Better Call Saul”. Here, he played the role of Saul’s bodyguard, Huell Babineaux.
