Joe Wieskamp was born on the 23rd of August 1999, to parents Stephen and Dana Wieskamp, father and mother respectively, He also has siblings from the same parents, three brothers to be precise but we can only tell the name of one of his brothers which he posed within a picture on Facebook, He goes by the name Luke.
He was born in Muscatine, Iowa, in the United States of America. He is an American by nationality. During his middle school days, He played football as a quarterback and was also a very good baseball player, He then stopped playing football as a result of the injury he had with his thumb and then decided to really place all his interest in basketball. When he was younger in high school he’d play basketball for his hometown school, Muscatine High School, in Iowa. He was really successful during his days as a basketball player for Muscatine High School, averaging 18.6 points in each game. He also became the first freshman in Mississippi Athletic Conference history to earn all-conference honors. According to Wikipedia Later in his sophomore season, He had an average of 21.6 points and 10 rebounds per game and was named first-team all-state.

He later for the 2019 NBA draft after the season but the media has it that he did not employ an agent. And then along the line, he decided to leave the NBA draft and then return to Iowa. Entering his second year in college, Wieskamp was named to the preseason All-Big Ten team and on the watchlist for the Jerry West Award. During this time, In the early stage of his resumption, Wieskamp put out his elbow and had a shooting slump to start the season. On the 9th of December, He had a total of 23 points in competition with Iowa college having about 72 points and Minnesota having 52 points. Wieskamp scored a then-career-high with 26 points on the 10th of January 2020, with Maryland having 49, and Iowa, having about 67 points. He later put down a new career with 30 points on the 8th of February same year(2020) in a match against Nebraska with Nebraska having 72 points and Iowa having 96 points. Wieskamp was then named to the third team All-Big Ten by the coaches and media. He had average points of 14.0 points and 6.1 rebounds in each game and led the Big Ten in free-throw shooting at 85.6%.
