Elisa Doughty was born in Winchester, Massachusetts but she grew up in Wakefield, about ten miles north of Boston. She attended Wellesley College, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Music and French. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Voice Performance from Boston University. She also studied for two years at the Conservatoire National de Région in Boulogne-Billancourt.
