Hansen as earlier stated is an American sportscaster who is presently working for WFAA-TV. He has been working there for 38 years now, He has been working since 1983. He used to work in Knoxville at KNIA radio. There he worked as a News Director. He later relocated to Minnesota where he worked at KCLD radio. Later on, he joined KOIL, in Nebraska, which happened to be his favorite station while he was growing up as a kid, from there he later went on and worked with KMTV where he served as a sports reporter.
His first job was in Dallas where he worked at KDFW. From here, He left and joined WFAA in 1983. In 1986, Hansen and his producer covered a story about a massive scandal involving payments of players on the Southern Methodist University’s football team, His report also leads to the canceling of the “Death Penalty”. He was rewarded for this story and was awarded the Peabody Award, DuPont-Columbia Award.
