Carla Juri Biography
Carla Juri was born on January 2, 1985, in Locarno, Switzerland. She was raised in Ambri, a village in the Italian-speaking Canton of Ticino, Switzerland. At a tender age, she learned German & Italian and at 15, she learned English. Juri’s father is a lawyer, while her mother is a sculptor.
Juri studied theatre art in Los Angeles and London from 2005 – 2010. While in school, she played ice hockey for HC Ambrí-Piotta and she later went on to be a forward for the Swiss Schweitzer Meister Class A team, SC Reinach.

Juri started her acting career by hopping between auditions in Berlin, London, and Rome. She was coached by Douglas Matranga in Los Angeles, from 2005 – 2007. She took part in the ensemble of the Theatrical Arts Theatre Company between 2007 – 2008 and she attended acting classes at The Actors Centre in London from 2008 – 2010.
Juri made her first film appearance in the short film “Midday Room”. She played the leading role in the 2013 film adaptation of Wetlands. She featured in the Blade Runner sequel, Blade Runner 2049, as a designer of implanted memories for replicants.
